The area :

Acharavi is the biggest village in the municipality of Thinalion. It is in the northern coast, 42 km away from the city of Corfu and at the foot of Pantokrator mountain, the highest mountain in Corfu with 914m height. Here you can choose among many hotels of all categories as well as villas, studios and apartments. In this region you can find many bars, tavernas and restaurants with Greek and international cuisine. In the ancient times Acharavi was named Ivi. When however the Romans destroyed the area and killed alla its young people, its name was changed to "Acharavi ivi", which means misfortunate youth. Nowdays Acharavi is a big tourist center with a big beautiful sandy beach, with many alternative forms of entertainment, water sports and trips to the surrounding areas.
